Annoying SMS

When we receive an SMS, we expect it to be important and from an important person. I have been cheated and bugged by SMS for a few months promoting service activation from individual numbers and not Celcom, Digi, Maxis or Umobile. Who are these individuals? Where do they get my numbers?

Look at the phone numbers above the SMS. Can you see it? Have you guys received this kind of SMS from individual numbers? Is this a kind of new MLM or Prepaid business, where if I activate the service then, the owner of the number will receive commisions? Does any bloggers have any knowledge of this? Please share.

i do get similar messages every month, i think this is what the operator called spam, if we don't want to receive the sms, then we need to subscribe the anti-spam.

????? :)

I got a lot of those too. Usually I just delete or ignore. Other times i just reply "Leave me alone". It's either a promo, a scam, or something else. Either way, if u dont need it, dont subscribe to it, to be safe.

One of those frustrating moments that we all encounter everyday. Those spammers are real nuisance taking up our precious times reading and deleting their unwanted smses. How I wish the telcos concerned will do something by installing some security solutions on their network against annoying spammers.

Ahh.. I have got these type of SMSes a few times. I just ignored them, but their offer does sound really tempting at times.

I wonder how they got my number. SOme say that stuff like those 'reward cards' we sign up for are the ones giving out our personal details.

I think SMS would be still okay, A few months back.. I had these people saying they are from some travel agent which has a tie up with my credit card, trying to ask me to sign up as members for their agency.. that was really annoying!

I have and many times but I don't know how it works....another kind of handphone marketing of a different brand or approach ut if they make tonnes of money through it would you be willing to adopt this marketing strategy? :).

Willie a.k.a Reptoz said...

Desmond > marketing has become very aggressive until it annoys people. And worst, they employ school leavers or school dropouts to work on the street to do direct selling. I feel bad about all these.

definitely MLM pun kerja tok, that's why i don't like it when we all prepaid users kenak register juak! so blame the service providers coz everyday ada jak SMS lucah sidak tok!
