Planting Paddy

After the heavy rainfall early this year, where many crops (paddy) were destroyed by flood, people in my village start to plant paddy again. Mind you that this haze was not due to their burning activities. They have been planting paddy even before you and I were born and its for their survival. Unlike you and I , they have no money to buy food - rice. So they plant it.
The haze that we are experiencing now is basically due to the deforestation by oil palm estate expansion, mostly in Indonesia. But my motive is not to blame anyone. I just want to show you guys on how beautiful paddy planting can be. heheh.

reminds me a whole lot of those good old days when my granpa still planted padi. Now he does his planting in the shop.. using green fertilizer, and its really quick.. in 10 minutes, can harvest already.. hehe

Paddy plating is good.. it would eventually even give people more greenery... sadly due to lack of space in the city... we can't... looks more like building plating then paddy we got more lately.

Re: the photo...looked more like chopping down trees. Is that in preparation for planting rice?

The haze situation is occurring every year. Will the real culprits please stand up?

Hi Grace > Thanks for your visit.

LadyViral > Oh yes.

Cherie > They've been doing it for generations.

Krisno > Gambar jak?

CalVB > Wah! You've not been back for ages?

MeiReng > Yes. They have to chop the trees. You can see the small green grass (paddy) started to grow on the soil.
