Why Do I Envy Young People?

As my age is catching up, I began to envy many young people. because most of them are energetic and excited about life. With this in mind, I must applaud the work of young hardworking bloggers who come out with the idea of forming Sarawak Bloggers. I believe they have something really big that they want to do. And I will always support the team.

A few days ago, I saw beautiful calendars for the upcoming world cup being sold at a BDC stationery shop. I wanted to buy one but cancelled my plan since I am not addicted to football. However I noticed that football is the most popular sports among men regardless of their age.

Since primary school, I do not know how to play football. Many of my friends were surprised that I don't play football since I have a footballer's body frame (perasan lah tu). They called me "kaki bangku" Hahahaha...as if I care! But I do like bowling so much! Still...it is a game with balls right? Hehehe...

On our last trip to an Iban longhouse, the elders organised a football game. I wanted to try it out but they said it was for over 40 years old people. Actually I was happy when they said that, because I had other thing that I wanted to do which was...taking their photos, imagining that I am taking photos of professional footballers who are playing at a stadium while 8000 spectators watching the game.

Too bad...their tummies became extra loads to the already aging bodies. Hahahah

Photos taken using my telephoto 55-200mm Nikon lense.

oh, though their tummies may already be extra load as you said, but definitely it is a joy to see them still enjoying fully the game.

YOu envy young ppl? wow.. I thought we'll get wiser as we age? ...but hey, i don't think it's fair to define the attitude with the age. like ppl always say, age is only a figure.

YOu're still very much young. seriously. And it's good that you're catching up with photographing. Serious talent! :)

I love the picture #2.. :)

Bro, I envy people younger than me...I think it goes in all generation.

Sarawak Bloggers is not about age gap, but its about bringing us closer together regardless of any difference be it location, age or backgroud.

I thank you for your support, and I love the photos in this post. Reminds me of the good all days when football in the padang was still popular.

Now, its games on TV... This is one thing I dont envy about the younger generation. I love real sports..

I can see them having fun in your photos Willie.

I still feel young although I don't look young anymore. ;)

young people are aggressive and energetic; they have the nike spirit, 'just do it'

Otherwise things will be left hanging with so much uncertainties and negative concerns.

that's why it is good to have both young and old generations in one team, the former have experience and knowledge while the latter get things moving, mostly at a better pace.
