Money and Education

I have read Robert Kyosaki's first book entitled "Rich Dad Poor Dad". He commented that education does not teach people on how to make money and that educated people tend to be poor due to heavy debts. While there are some truths about what he said, people should not jump into conclusion that education is meaningless and money is far important than anything else. Having a lot of money in a pocket again is only a matter of choice. St. Paul said, be content with what you have and live accordingly.

A friend of mine is an active member of a direct selling company and having a lot of money is his life's ultimate goal. He spends most of his time (day and night) working and looking for people. In his motivational talks, he passes the message that money is all that important in this world.

On the other hand, I am a person who is happy with the salary I am earning now. My life's priority is none other than to appreciate life more than work. Spending quality time with my family and doing some social and church work. It is really fulfilling to see other people happy.

There is a way to earn money without jeopardizing our personal and family life and that is through education. Not all people have the talent and will to venture into business. Let us leave the business to other people who can. For us who are not skillfull in business, education is the way to earn money. I always tell my students that.

Being in the education line is very interesting. I have lots of things that I want to share. I will soon open a blog dedicated to teaching and now I am still finding the most suitable blog layout for it. For my toy fans...I am sorry. I might have to close it down.

So have a nice day folks!

i read that like 9 years ago and i agree with you. it is putting a lot of pressure on young ppl who values material gains only and forgot about other values in life and it breeds social ills and a lot of anger and dissatisfaction in life....it makes life seem like a big void, i am not against money but know where you can be and let's be real if his method works then are we expecting millionaires everywhere soon? life is unfair to begin with, just be contented ohhhh i am so longwinded eh hahaah ....

Agree having a balanced family life is more important.

I have to agree that educated people are not rich. In a way. Only rich in knowledge. But knowledge paralyses them in terms of business ventures.

My mom used to say to me that most successful people are those dropped-out. And those who got top in their classes will end up marrying a job in their lives.

My sister recently read "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and she was supposed to lend it to me. You just reminded me to ask her for the book.

Many people are consumed with achieving their "get rich" goals. Sadly enough, many people think money can solve all their problems hence they strive to make as much money as possible. In doing so, they forget to enjoy life in the present time. They think they can enjoy life in the future after they gained their richness but tomorrow is not a guarantee for anyone. This is a great post, Willie.

I'd like to have enough money to indulge in doing things I enjoy but I won't want to be a slave in the money hunt.

But having little or no money is not good at all.

Manglish : It's okay to be longwinded. Hahaha...

Pete :Yes. I totally agree with you.

AiShiang :As long as we can manage our money and wealth, then we should be able to live comfortably.

AmirFx :Betul ya Amir.

Rosebelle :Yes. Richness does not guarantee a happy life. Like people said "money can buy a bed, but it cannot buy sleep".

BBHussain :Money is important but let it not govern your life.

Fonsusz :Thanks bro.

Lina :I don't want to be a slave to money too.

Rainfield :True my brother.

Wenn :Me too. I feel the same.

Betchai :If we are content with what we have, we can be happy.

SJB :Make it 101%!

MeiTeng :True indeed.

MNhL :True. Very true...

Chineseman :Can you speak English?

Kelvin :Yup bro. Agree with that too.
