Digital Capture

Instead of carrying a DSLR around and risk damaging it, I usually bring along my digicam Canon A560. It is light, small and easy to put in a pocket. I think many bloggers would bring around their digicam too right?. Before this, I noticed many bloggers just write their thoughts in a blog. But since the creation of digicam, bloggers are starting to put photos in their blogs and I fully support this style of writing. Photos help to make our blogs interesting and to visualize what we write. To some bloggers out there, although the way we write our blog is a personal preference, may I suggest that you include some photos in your entries?

Oh well...bringing only a digicam around might have some disadvantages for me especially when I see something rare. For example, yesterday, as I was driving back from Asajaya, Samarahan, the sky was amazingly beautiful. However, I was upset because I did not capture the beauty with my DSLR. I know the photos below seemed beautiful but they would produce excellent result with a DSLR.

I agree on the idea of involving some snapshots or image relating to the posts. It helps to not only keep things interesting and I like to have something to visualize when I read too!

Oh and Willie, the snapshot, even w/o dSLR is amazing! I love days when I get to see skies that way! Just pure beauty!

Of course needless to say, images captured with an SLR is even better! Thanks for sharing! Love this post! If there is a "Like" button iw ould've given it a click already!

yup, DSLR is pretty bulky and heavy to lug around all the time. but you can get excellent pics out of the box. i've always enjoyed photo blogs with not too long narrations. it makes one's blog more interesting and lively.

SunsHIne :Thanks. The sky was just marvelous!

I agree with you, sometimes I would rather bring the compact camera to go around but when there's something really interestingly rare I will regret it for not bringing SLR but anyway those pictures of yours still good though :) (thinking of "investing" in Olympus E-PL1, but cant' afford it, so stick to existing compact)

"Have gun will travel". But it is "have digicam will travel" for your case, and for our case.

Maybe you could get use to the settings of the compact.

Ive used the digicam and the dslr, and although the DSLR does have an advantage, I belive the minicam isn't far behind once you know how to utilize each setting in the camera.

SJB :Tiada la...mana ho?

Rodz :Thanks. I have an olympus digital camera. But rarely use it. Hehehe

Manglish :Not to say cheap one la. Buy the good quality compact.

Eynda : Thanks.

BBhussain :Yeah...if you have camera with you, it will be interesting to blog about what you see.

Rainfield : Hahaha...what's the model of your gun?

Cyril :Sometimes, if you are to used with a DSLR, it won't be easy to go back to compact cam.

Just curious though because I'm no professional photographer: how would the two sky pictures be any different if you were to use a DSLR? The shots are both breathtakingly beautiful, can't imagine how might a different camera make the picture any better.

Norris :Memang benar Norris, rare sight.

Rosebelle :I can't tell the difference by words. You have to see the photos (DSLR & Digicam)
