I Am A Proud Scout

There are many reasons for my students to join scout. Some of them, join it just for the sake of joining but others are really interested in it. I was a scout member during my school years. I had a strong scout team. We were very good at camping and also at marching. Our seniors were very committed. However, I see my school scout today is very different, weak and lack of scout knowledge. If I ask them to sit under the hot sun for a while, the will complain, if I ask them to take some notes, they will start to wander away. However, I am sure that this year, we will be one of the most active unit in our school.

(We always teach our students on Scout. They will have to take some notes on their log books)
(This is a Scout simple ceremony where, young scouts will have to make an oath to be accepted as the new youth Scout members)

It is the scouting spirit that makes a young one strong.

I was a proud scout and your pictures brought home memories. Good memories as being a scout was most adventurous, full of activities and we learned aplenty.

Rainfield :Yes. If they are interested, I am sure they will do well in Scout.

Ocean_Girl :Yes. I have plenty of memories too when I saw these young Scouts.

Krisno : People thought St Teresa was girls' school in Serian, but it is actually a mixed gender school. Hahhaa

Life : Wah. Hebat ler You.

BBhussain :Should share a little bit about it in your blog.

JT :Me too.

Cyril :Hahahha...Cyril. I understand. I think doing the same things over the years will definitely be boring.

i was a brownie, a girl guide and a brigade too. I can't help recalling them. It was different during my school days. My officers were very commited, strict but kind. I missed all the fun we once had together.
Thanks Willie for this post.

I used to be a proud scout when I was in grade school. But I don't think my nieces have joined scouting lately. It's no longer popular, I don't know why. Like you said, it's different now.

HoneyBuzz :It sure brings us memories huh?

My :Many people are into different things now. Before the creation of internet and computers, people love outdoor activities. But now, they prefer to sit at home. Hahaha
