An SD or an XD Memory Card?

One of the most beautiful pro photographer i found in the magazine is Miss Aniela. She's a fine art photographer. You can visit her blog at http://missaniela.com/blog/

This was what she said "Experiment with photography and don't fret about getting everything "right". Go with the flow, don't get your head stuck in manuals, use them only as you would use dictionary-dip in and out. Keep hands-on. Be inspired by other artists but always develop personal ideas-using your dreams as inspiration is a good idea! Don't just reproduce a conventional image (such as sunset shot) other than to get started. Consciously try to be different and play with the rules. Listen to advice, but never let anyone tell you what to do, or that you're doing something wrong. Photography is an art, not a science"

Some of Miss Aniela workMY STORY

Probably you guys have known the existence of two types of Memory card. SanDisk and XD. Which one is better? Based on my experience, My XD card damaged three times and my SD card has never been damaged although I have removed it from the camera to my laptop many times. What do you think? Did you have the same experience?
If you want to buy a camera, maybe you should consider whether the camera is using an XD card or an SD card. From my observation, most canon and Nikon digital cameras are using SD cards, meanwhile, Olympus and Fujifilm are using XD cards. Well...what I wrote here was based on my experience and there's no professional comments or special review on this. Feel free to ask around to check about this will yeah?

Thank goodness my DSLR is using an SD card. Until today, it has no problem.

Photography is art and science combined :)

I like SanDisk Extreme III memory cards. I have been using them for quite a while and they do write fast. I also have SanDisk Ultra but I can really see the difference with the Extreme III.

You do really get what you pay for.

SD card is cheaper and easy to transfer to any devie.

XD needs special devices and is expensive. I'm all for SD cards.
