Are Wedding Photos Important For You?

Between a video and photos, which one would you willing to spend on your wedding day? It is good to have both, but what if you can only choose one? What will you choose?
Today the cost of a photography service is considerably reasonable due to the fact that film is no longer used. A free lance photographer like me will not cost as much as the bridal shop will charge. However, there is still a question among couples, whether it is necessary to take photos of the actual event.
Marriage is a one time event in a lifetime, I would like to encourage couples to keep memories of their weddings just as I did. Spending a bit of money on taking your wedding photos should be fine because you can always find the money in time to come. Don't be afraid to spend a bit extra.

With the advancement in camera tools and editing software, you will never regret your photos taken.

choosing between taking video or photos ha? wow, that's a tough one. It's The BIG DAY... But if i were to choose only one, i'd opt for capturing the moments from video.. I want to be able to watch it again every anniversary, a remembrance of the spouse and i of sound of the laughters from everyone involved, speeches from everyone.. It's more vivid, i guess...

BUt of couse, I want both! hahaha.. I don't freaking care. I want both video AND photos. Marriage is a one-time thing in our life, is it not ? ( God forbid the ended-to-soon marriage)

And I want you to capture my big day soon! :)

Wedding photos are important. It is a once in a lifetime thing and we need to the memory of it. It would be nice to be old next time and look back at it.

Or even (touch wood) if a strian was in the relationship, looking back at the photos may tell you why you got married to your spouse. :)

i'll go for photography.
we took both photos and video during our wedding but up to today, i've only watched the video less than 5 times and the last was 3 years ago. Easier to look into pictures in picture album than to slot in DVD to watch the video.

but then again, it's good to have both cos although most memories are good frozen in pictures but some are just wonderful in video

My wedding agak kasian tuh. hehee... had to depend on relatives ambik2 the photos (lagik zaman pakai negatif semuanya...). I did thought about assigning a photographer frm among the folks but no one can fill the post. hiring one is out of the question sebab the wedding buat di kampung hulu2. unless i pay or thought about his transport, his food, accommodation etc.... but compiling all the negatives from relatives later was also a memorable one (ada yg kabur.. ada yang putih habis -cannot edit what that time). ok bah juga when I re-think about it. hahahhaa.... yg penting ada fotonya (^_^)

I love photo more than video, and am not having a digicam. Don't know why.

I prefer photos and videos as second choice...why?...because photos tend to last longer...subject is focus...printable...standalone(even if u don't have electricity supply you can still cherished the moment taken in photos)...haha my 10 cents opinion....

Hard print photos that you can put in an album and leave on the coffee table! :)

Any other medium will be lost in space.

I believe it would be great to have both video recordings and photos. But if I have to choose, photos of course! I love photos.

I personally prefer photos coz they would last longer and take shorter time to look at.

Videos take longer time, but you wont miss a moment of the whole thing.

anyways, i think I still prefer photos coz like they say "a picture paints a thousand words'.. a video.. err...

I prefer photos as I love flipping the photo albums more than watching a DVD. And hiring a video recording services is not cheap too.

Dear all,

Thanks for your comments. And thanks to those new visitors. I really treasure your opinions. Somehow, I guess, it depends on individual liking and budget right?

very important! i invested a big bucks for my wedding photos and video. I prefer the photos to be well done since it lasts a lifetime. Videos can get corrupted in time.
