Hi guys, I am back to work today. Although it is kinda hard to start the day with work but I should take it as a blessing because I always think about how lucky I am to have a job as compared to those who are unemployed and find it hard to bring food on their tables.
The journey back to my village is around 1 1/2 hours drive. Thank God we have a good highway. Usually, before reaching my village, we will make a pit stop, at least twice - to fill up the car with petrol and to buy some food for the house. And my wife is very understanding that she often offer herself to drive back to our village. So I did a self photoshoot. Ahaks!

Our first day at kampung (village) was interesting. My mother in-law cooked "Bamboo Chicken Rice" It is a Bidayuh's traditional dish. They cook rice with chicken inside the bamboo. Look at the photos below.

this is similar to the lemang/ bamboo shoot rice sold in West Malaysia. I remember, there was one time many years ago, traveling in Karak highway, a lot of stalls along the highway, selling this. But don't know whether yours taste similar.
