A simple and spacious living room is suitable to be used as your home studio. I believe, your room can be used as a studio if you have a simple sofa (the one with too many colours or stripes is not really suitable for studio shot) and table, they can be nice studio objects.
The only problem I have here is , I do not have enough flash light. Hehehehe...I am thinking of buying another one.

I was overwhelmed reading about studio equipment in Scott Kelby's Digital Photography Book Vol.2. So many things needed for a studio setup! But it pays to get that professionally looking portraits or product shots isn't?

actually, even without flash light, the pictures came out great and the lighting is subtle and very natural. but yeah, shooting indoors can be very dim at times and flash light would be of great help.
