World Insect Day

World Insect Day is a day I created for myself. So.. I took a lot of insect photos using my brand new Digital Compact Olympus. I went around my house and backyard looking for insects and took the best shot from their pose. Gee. I love these pics. What do you think?

Geee.. I forgot how to spell the name of this insect. Anyway, it was loitering on the roof of my car at night. Probably, waiting for food. Nyummie nyummie.

This is a butterfly. A small one. I'm not sure why it was there, stopping on a pandan leave.

This butterfly is of a medium size. It was flying all over my backyard until it suddenly stop on the grass. So, I snapped it!

Two ants were working very hard to bring this carcass home. It is amazing that an ant can carry items twice its size.

It's a praying mantis, that first pic. I love the glowing shadow at the background.
